LATA & MUKESH - CHAL SANYASI MANDIR MEIN - SANYASI 1975
THE DREAM GIRL OF BOLLYWOOD - HEMA MALINI............................................ SONG:CHAL SANYASI MANDIR MEIN MUSIC:SHANKAR JAIKISHAN LYRICS:VESHVESHVAR SHARMA SINGER:MUKESH & LATA MANGESHKAR FILM:SANYASI Sanyasi is a 1975 Hindi Bollywood movie directed and produced by Sohanlal Kanwar. The film stars Manoj Kumar,Hema Malini,Prem Chopra and Prem Nath. The music was given by Shankar Jaikishan while the lyrics were written by Veshveshvar Sharma. Hema Malini (born 16 October 1948) is an Indian actress, director and producer, as well as a Bharatanatyam dancer-choreographer. Making her acting debut in Sapno Ka Saudagar (1968), she went on to appear in numerous successful Bollywood films, most notably those with actor and future-husband Dharmendra. Hema Malini was born in Ammangudi, Tamil Nadu, India to V.S.R. Chakravarty and Jaya Chakravarthy. Her mother was a film producer. She was initially promoted as "Dream Girl", and in 1977 starred in a film of the same name. During this period, she established herself as one of Hindi cinema's leading actresses, noted for both her comic and dramatic roles, and her accomplished classical dancing. Hema is one of the most successful female filmstars in the history of Indian cinema. Appearing in over 150 films in a career span of 40 years, she has starred in a large number of hit films, and her performances in both commercial and art house cinema, were often recognized. Hema Malini was educated at Chennai. She persisted and found her niche in Bollywood. She debuted in a 1968 film Sapnon Ka Saudagar ("The Dreamseller"), playing a young teen opposite the ageing superstar Raj Kapoor. With Dev Anand in Johnny Mera Naam (1970), Hema became a top star. She worked with him again in other films as well, with the latest being Aman Ke Farishtey (2003). Hema double-rolled with Dharmendra and Sanjeev Kumar in 1972s Seeta Aur Geeta as the top female star in Bollywood. She became one of the reigning divas of the Bollywood film industry, and her fans called her The Dream Girl of Bollywood. Hema starred in many movies throughout the 1970s and 1980s and is perhaps best remembered for her glamor, style, and accomplished classical dancing. She formed a hit pair with Dharmendra, and the duo performed a number of hit movies like Sholay, Charas, Aas Paas, Jugnu, Seeta Aur Geeta, The Burning Train. She also achieved some strong dramatic or comic moments in films like Trishul, Joshila, Lal Patthar, Meera, Khushboo and Kinara. After taking a long break from films for a number of years in the 1990s and early 2000s, Hema has recently made a comeback of sorts. She co-starred with Amitabh Bachchan in the successful film Baghban (2003), and played a cameo role (also opposite Bachchan) in the 2004 blockbuster Veer-Zaara. In both films, she played a self-possessed, old married woman rather than the ingenuinee roles of her earlier career. She tried her hand at directing and made the 1992 film Dil Aashna Hai which featured an all-star cast including Shahrukh Khan and the late Divya Bharti. She also directed and starred in the TV serial Noopur, in which she was depicted as a Bharatanatyam dancer going to America. She is a dedicated Bharatanatyam artiste, a classical dance of India. Her two daughters have trained in the same dance form and the three have performed together at several charity dance concerts. Top Bollywood stars like Sanjeev Kumar and Jeetendra proposed to her, but she married Dharmendra on 2 May 1980. Dharmendra, who was already married to Prakash Kaur, and had two sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, could not marry Hema as Prakash refused to divorce him. According to the Hindu Marriage Act. Both of them converted to Islam - and married under that civil code, rather than waiting for Dharmendra's divorce to come through. Three years after their marriage, Hema subsequently gave birth to two daughters: Esha Deol (born 1982) and Ahana Deol. Her daughter Esha is an accomplished classical dancer.

KISHORE & LATA MANGESHKAR - IS MOD SE JAATE HAIN - AANDHI 1975
All credit goes to ( Tommydan1 ) who created this video. SONG:IS MOD SE JAATE HAIN MUSIC:R.D.BURMAN LYRICS:GULZAR SINGER:LATA MANGESHKAR & KISHORE KUMAR FILM:AANDHI Aandhi is a 1975 Indian movie supposedly based on then-prime minister Indira Gandhi's life, but in reality, it was inspired by Tarkeshwari Sinha, apart from Indira Gandhi. It was directed by Gulzar and prodused by J.Om Prakash. The film stars Sanjeev Kumar,Suchitra Sen and The movie was not allowed a full release as the similarity to Mrs Gandhi's life held it up while she was in power. The music of this film was composed by Rahul Dev Burman with lyrics by Gulzar sung by Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar . Songs like Tere Bina Zindagi, Tum Aa Gaye Ho and Is Mod Se Jate Hain are considered classics in Indian cinema. Suchitra Sen (born 6 April 1931) or Roma Dasgupta is a Indian actress who appeared in Bengali cinema films. In particular, the movies in which she paired opposite another legend in Bangla films, Uttam Kumar, are all-time classics in Bengali cinema. She now lives a life of a recluse rarely making any public appearances. When she left movies, she was slowly but steadily losing the position of leading lady of Bengali silver screen. She is the first Indian actress to be awarded in an international film festival (Best Actress award for the movie Saat Paake Bandha in 1963 Moscow film festival). Her films with Uttam Kumar are still shown as re-runs on Bengali TV channels. Suchitra was born in Pabna, British India (now Bangladesh). Her father Karunamoy Dasgupta was the head master of the local school and her mother's name was Indira Dasgupta. She was their fifth child and third daughter. She had formal education in Pabna. She married Dibanath Sen, son of a wealthy Bengali industrialist, Adinath Sen, in 1947 and had one child, Moon Moon Sen, a noted actress. She made her debut in films with Shesh Kothaay in 1952, but the film was never released. The following year saw her act opposite Uttam Kumar in Sharey Chuattor. The film became a box-office hit and it was remembered for launching Uttam-Suchitra as a leading pair. They went on to become the icons for Bengali dramas for more than 20 years, becoming almost a genre to themselves. She received a Best Actress Award for the film Devdas (1955), which was her first Hindi movie. Her patented Bengali melodramas and romances especially with Uttam Kumar, made her the most famous Bengali actress ever. Her films ran through the 1960s and the 1970s. Her husband died, but she continued to act in films, such as the Hindi hit film Aandhi (1974), where she played a politician. Aandhi was inspired by India's Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. She received a Filmfare nomination as Best Actress, while Sanjeev Kumar, who essayed the role of her husband, won the Filmfare as Best Actor. Her international success came in the year of 1963, when she won the best actress award in Moscow Film Festival for the movie Saat Paake Bandha. In fact, she is the first female to receive an international film award. She refused Satyajit Ray's offer due to date problem, as a result Ray never made the film Devi Chawdhurani. She also refused Raj Kapoor's offer for a film under RK banner. She retired from the screen in 1978 after a career of over 25 years to a life of quiet seclusion. She has avoided the public gaze after her retirement and has devoted her time to the Ramakrishna Mission. Suchitra Sen was a contender for the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for the year 2005, provided she was ready to accept it in person. Her refusal to go to New Delhi and personally receive the award from the President of India deprived her of that award.

LATA MANGESHKAR - JAB TAK HAI JAAN - SHOLAY 1975
SONG:JAB TAK HAI JAAN MUSIC:R.D.BURMAN LYRICS:ANAND BAKSHI SINGER:LATA MANGESHKAR FILM:SHOLAY Sholay (English: Embers) is an Indian film directed by Ramesh Sippy. It is the biggest hit in the history of Bollywood, India's Hindi film industry. Released on 15 August 1975, it stars Dharmendra, Sanjeev Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Jaya Bhaduri and Amjad Khan. The movie, shot in the rocky terrain of Ramanagara (actual city in Karnataka), is the story of two petty criminals hired to capture, for a bounty, a ruthless dacoit by the name of Gabbar Singh. Sholay is the highest grossing film of all time in Indian cinema. It has earned Rs. 768,81,00,000, equivalent to US$ 160 million, after adjusting for inflation. When first released, the film was declared a commercial disaster. Word of mouth convinced movie-goers to give the film a chance and soon it became a box-office phenomenon. It ran for 286 weeks straight (more than five years) in one Mumbai theatre, the Minerva. Sholay racked up a still-record 60 golden jubilees across India and doubled its original gross over reruns during the late 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s. Sholay was the first film in the history of Indian cinema to celebrate silver jubilee (25 weeks) at over a hundred theatres across India. The film was produced by G.P. Sippy and directed by his son Ramesh Sippy. It was written by scriptwriters Salim-Javed. R. D. Burman contributed the music. Anand Bakshi was the lyricist. It was the first Hindi (and possibly Indian) movie to have a stereophonic soundtrack. Sholay was released on 15 August 1975 in Mumbai. On 11 October 1975, the film was released in several other Indian film distribution districts. It earned Rs. 3,84,41,00,000 equivalent to US$ 88 million, and remains the highest grossing movie of all-time in the history of Indian Cinema. At Mumbai's Minerva theater, it was shown in regular shows for three continuous years, and then in matinee shows for two more years. Even in 240th week of its release, Sholay was packing the theaters. Sholay grossed about 35 crore rupees in its first run, a record that remained unbroken for the next nineteen years. Sholay ran for more than five years. The film showcased two real life romances. Amitabh married Jaya Bhaduri, who played the widowed daughter-in-law, in 1973, during the filming. Dharmendra married Hema Malini, his second marriage, in 1980, five years after the release of the film.
