1 Year in Asia Backpacking + Pictures (Advice from a Single Female Traveler)

All about my 1 year trip through Asia overland, backpacking along the old Silk Road (aka the Hippie Trail) on a shoestring budget by myself. The tour operator I went with is Dragoman. My trip had a lot of ups and downs but for hard-to-travel countries it was a good option. I think I'm just not a "group" traveler. http://www.dragoman.com/ The book I mention is "First Time Asia" by Rough Guides available here: http://www.amazon.com/Rough-Guide-First-Time-Asia/dp/1848364741?ie=UTF8&qid=1317581174&sr=8-1&_encoding=UTF8&tag=misschitv-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325 Subscribe to my main Youtube channel for makeup tutorials, hauls and beauty videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/MissChievous Add my social networks for exclusive sneak previews, giveaways, pictures, and much more! Dancing Thru Life - My Travels To India

What does a middle aged guy do after quitting his job of 23 years - travel the world and Dance Thru Life! Here's a video of a month-long trip to India. I traveled basically the Golden Triangle (tourist) route from New Delhi, to Jaipur (Rajasthan), to Agra. I then headed to a bunch of places in Northeast India like Orchha and Varanasi near the Nepal border. Be sure to check out the bonus short feature at the end titled A Minute at the Taj - 20 Minutes Sped Up. It was an experiment in time in time-lapse videography.

WORLD TRAVEL - INCREDIBLE INDIA

India ( /ˈɪndiə/), officially the Republic of India (Hindi: भारत गणराज्य Bhārat Gaṇarājya; see also official names of India), is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by geographical area, the second-most populous country with over 1.18 billion people, and the most populous democracy in the world.[16][17] Mainland India is bounded by the Indian Ocean on the south, the Arabian Sea on the west, and the Bay of Bengal on the east; and it is bordered by Pakistan to the west;[note] Bhutan, the People's Republic of China and Nepal to the north; and Bangladesh and Burma to the east. In the Indian Ocean, mainland India and the Lakshadweep Islands are in the vicinity of Sri Lanka and the Maldives, while India's Andaman and Nicobar Islands share maritime border with Thailand and the Indonesian island of Sumatra in the Andaman Sea.[18] India has a coastline of 7,517 kilometres (4,700 mi).[19] Home to the ancient Indus Valley Civilisation and a region of historic trade routes and vast empires, the Indian subcontinent was identified with its commercial and cultural wealth for much of its long history.[20] Four of the world's major religions—Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism—originated here, while Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam arrived in the first millennium CE and shaped the region's diverse culture. Gradually annexed by the British East India Company from the early eighteenth century and colonised by the United Kingdom from the mid-nineteenth century, India became an independent nation in 1947 after a struggle for independence that was marked by widespread non-violent resistance led by Mahatma Gandhi.[21] India is a federal constitutional republic with a parliamentary democracy consisting of 28 states and seven union territories. A pluralistic, multilingual and multiethnic society, India is also home to a diversity of wildlife in a variety of protected habitats. The Indian economy is the world's eleventh largest economy by nominal GDP and the fourth largest by purchasing power parity. Since the introduction of market-based economic reforms in 1991, India has become one of the fastest growing major economies in the world;[22] however, the country continues to face several poverty, illiteracy, corruption and public health related challenges. India is classified as a newly industrialised country[23][24] and is one of the four BRIC nations. It is a nuclear weapons state and has the third-largest standing armed force in the world,[25] while its military expenditure ranks tenth in the world. It is a founding member of the United Nations, the Non-Aligned Movement, the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation, the East Asia Summit and the G20 industrial nations, and a member of the Commonwealth of Nations and the G8+5. Baby Taj & Taj Mahal Back View, Agra - Frank & Jen Travel India 8

Everyone visits Agra to see the world famous Taj Mahal, but there are some other sites which are totally worth checking out. We begin the day from our hostel in the Taj Ganj area with a rooftop view of the Taj, then take a horse carriage to the Baby Taj (Itmad-ud-Daulah's Tomb), a predecessor to the Taj Mahal that looks both delicate and intricate. We end the day on the back side of the Taj Mahl, from across the Yamuna river. The sunset panorama there is simply unforgettable! Technical notes: Shot in 1080p HD with a Canon 60D camera. Photos are HDR panoramas. Music credits: "We Love Machine" by Way Out West, "Tri-State (Robert Nickson's Intro Mix)" by Above and Beyond. Taj Mahal Close Up & Inside - Frank & Jen Travel India 10

Taj Mahal is one of the most beautiful and romantic monuments on earth, and to us especially so, since Frank just proposed to Jen in front of the Taj! (Watch episode 9 for that) There is a stupid rule at the Taj Mahal where video is prohibited beyond the first viewing platform (where you see Jen talking on the bench), and don't even think about bringing in a tripod or monopod - they search everything at the gate. So as a result, most non-broadcast footage of the Taj Mahal upclose is shaky, low quality cell phone stuff. Well, we are thankful for our DSLR, which looks like a still camera but also takes full 1080p HD video! We even managed a rare HD movie inside the Taj Mahal itself! Certain shots are stablized and smoothed in software for almost the tripod look. Enjoy! Technical notes: Shot in 1080p HD with a Canon 60D camera, handheld. Photos are mostly HDR. Music credits: "Here With Me" and "Living Life Over" by ATB. Please subscribe for all future episodes from India (about 30 episodes)!
